Jillaine Records Delivers Media
A sister and brother team, Jillaine and Erik Chaston, founded Jillaine Records in 2005 during their freshman year of college. What began as an independent label that releases Jillaine's vocal jazz music has in 2015 expanded into a full-service media shop for audio and video media.
Jillaine—Manager, Producer, Musician, Songwriter
Jillaine manages the day-to-day operations of Jillaine Records and produces her projects, which include six full-length albums, three singles, and countless live performances. An experienced television assistant producer, copywriter, audio/video editor, and voice over artist, she also co-hosts on a Top 40s terrestrial radio station weekday mornings during the summer. As a songwriter, she writes music and lyrics for jingles as well as full-length songs. She manages and operates JazzyMorsels.com, a food and music blog.
In her last year of law school at Brigham Young University, she is specializing in intellectually property and contracts, planning to practice entertainment law. She will continue to perform and record. She has a Bachelor's of Music in Jazz Studies, Vocal Emphasis from BYU.
Erik—Sound Engineer, Whiteboard Video Designer, Composer
Erik manages the Jillaine Records website, studio, and products. He is experienced in live concert, live sports broadcasting, studio and live recording, and post-sound engineering for music and film. He is a video and motion graphics editor and is acclaimed for his whiteboard videos, which are online content for a widely used collegiate textbook. His whiteboard videos are in high-demand by publishers and authors. A voice over artist and composer, in his spare time he works on his own upcoming album.
He earned a sound recording certificate from BYU and in 2016 he will graduate with a Bachelor's of Science in Business, Global Supply Chain Emphasis.
